Clinical focus.

Many clients arrive after carrying things privately for a long time.

Anxiety, panic, and overthinking Worry, avoidance, or mental noise that narrows life.
Depression and disconnection Low mood, numbness, irritability, or difficulty re-entering life.
Trauma responses and shame Earlier harm shaping trust, safety, self-worth, or the body’s sense of threat.
Grief and transitions Loss, change, or uncertainty that needs room and language.
Relationship patterns Conflict, distance, people-pleasing, or fears that keep repeating.
Identity and self-worth Questions about who you are, what you need, and how you relate to yourself.
Stress, burnout, and overload Carrying too much for too long without enough recovery.
Substance use concerns Exploring use, triggers, ambivalence, and change when outpatient therapy fits.
Feeling stuck Patterns that keep returning even with insight, effort, or success elsewhere.

A steady, relational style.

The work often slows things down enough for patterns to become visible.

Sessions may look at what is happening now and how earlier experiences, relationships, losses, coping strategies, and protective patterns still shape life. The pace is collaborative and attentive to readiness, safety, and the client’s goals.

Relational The therapy relationship is treated as part of the work, not just the container for it.
Insight-oriented Patterns, feelings, defenses, needs, and meanings are explored so experience becomes more understandable.
Practical when useful CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-informed tools may be integrated when they help.

Fit and scope.

Consultation before intake helps protect the fit of the work.

Dr. Bryant currently provides outpatient telehealth psychotherapy for teens and adults in Illinois.

This pathway is not emergency care, crisis response, psychological testing, forensic or court-related evaluation, or a substitute for a higher level of care when that is clinically needed.

When Stonebridge is not the right fit, referral direction may be discussed when possible.
